"I’ll Just Die Then?" — A Design With Depth, Not Disrespect
Share
When I started Scripture Styles Shop, I knew I wanted to create faith-based designs that encouraged people, pointed to Jesus, and sparked meaningful conversations. But lately, I’ve felt called to go a little deeper — to design pieces that don’t just look good but also make people think, feel seen, or even wrestle with truth a bit.
That’s where the “I’ll Just Die Then?” design comes in.
At first glance, the phrase might feel a little sarcastic — but this design isn’t meant to be edgy for the sake of it. It’s inspired by the moment Jesus, knowing what was ahead of Him — the betrayal, the pain, the cross — still chose to trust the Father completely.
He prayed:
“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
— Luke 22:42
Jesus didn’t run. He didn’t fight. He surrendered.
He knew what obedience would cost — and still said yes.
This design is a way of acknowledging how hard it can be to trust God, especially when we know it may lead us through pain or sacrifice. It’s a reminder of the depth of Jesus’ obedience, and a reflection of the kind of trust we’re called to have too — raw, real, and costly.
It’s not making light of faith. It’s making space for the weight of it.
Got an idea?
I’m working on more designs like this — ones that go deeper, stir conversation, and reflect honest moments in our walk with God. If you’ve got a design idea or phrase on your heart, I’d love to hear it! If I create something from your idea and you love the result, I’ll send you a discount on a T-shirt as a thank-you.
Thanks for walking this creative, faith-filled journey with me.
